Our Love Story

Hyatt Regency Cambridge has been a staple in the Cambridge community overlooking Boston since its opening in 1976, providing unforgettable memories to guests.

Our beautiful Hotel was most famously known for the Spinnaker Restaurant, a revolving restaurant on the 16th floor that provided uninterrupted views of the Boston skyline - a favorite spot for celebrations intimate and grand. Upon its closure in 2004, the Spinnaker was re-invented as the Charles View Ballroom and is now a highly sought after venue for dazzling weddings.

Perfectly located on the banks of the Charles River, Hyatt Regency Cambridge offers unforgettable views of the Boston skyline. Riverside Pavilion

The 3-season Pavilion with beautifully rouched linen creating a cloud like ceiling scape, 4 elegant chandeliers & solid glass doors, will impress all guests. This venue is heated and air conditioned to create a comfortable environment for all.

Outdoor Courtyard

Nestled in the center of the property, the Outdoor Courtyard offers the perfect setting for your outdoor ceremony or reception. Beautifully landscaped at each season, this venue is also a favorite for wedding photos. From first look and on, this venue will bring your family and friends together to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Skyline Terrace

This scenic deck is located in the front of the Hotel, overlooking the Charles River and Boston Skyline. As the "hidden gem" of the Hotel, this patio may be used by itself for your rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail reception, or in conjunction with our ballrooms.

President's Ballroom

Our impressive 7,008 square foot President’s Ballroom features 18’ high ceilings, newly renovated décor and lighting, and expansive pre-function space. It can hold up to 450 guests with a dance floor, yet can also be split into smaller sections to accommodate intimate ceremonies and cocktail receptions. This ballroom also features an adjacent outdoor courtyard for guests to get some fresh air and experience nature within the city.

Empress Ballroom

Our Empress Ballroom is located on the 14^th floor of the Hotel. Offering a unique layout with a private balcony and sunken dance floor featuring 15’ windows overlooking the Boston Skyline and Charles River, this venue is perfect for intimate ceremonies and grand receptions alike.

Charles View Ballroom

Located on the top floor of the Hotel, the private Charles View Ballroom is the gem of Cambridge overlooking Boston. Featuring a pre-function foyer the main ballroom boasts three walls of floor to ceiling windows featuring the stunning views surrounding the Hotel. This on-top-of-the-world venue is sure to “wow” each and every guest.

Specialty Stations interactive & innovative, perfect for multiple cuisines. Offers versatility and the opportunity for guests to meet and mingle during dinner.

Plated guest are served a three or four course classic & elegant, single or duo option. This style of service allows you to plan your wedding menu with confidence, giving you the opportunity to choose each course in advance.

Family Style proteins served individually to guests while sides are served for passing & sharing. Encourages guests to socialize at the table while enjoying a second serving of their favorite side dish.

Personal Preference allow your guests to personalize their dining experience. Treat them to an elegant four course meal. You choose the appetizer, salad, and offer your guests to choose their entrée, tableside with their server the night of the celebration.

Confirmation of Space and Deposits

An initial nonrefundable deposit of 25% of your agreed minimum is required to confirm your date along with a signed contract.

Enhancements

Little touches can enhance your wedding – from late night snacks, to next morning brunches, to gift bags delivered to your guest rooms. Allow our team to embellish your experience with delighters to elevate your special day.

Guest Accommodations

A room block may be setup for guests attending your event. Check in time is 4:00pm, and check out time is 12pm. Courtesy blocks are offered as available, for a maximum of 20 rooms to begin.

Rehearsal Dinner

Entertain your closest friends and family in an elegant and intimate setting by having your rehearsal dinner in one of our private spaces. We will help you customize a menu and other details, so you can concentrate on your upcoming big day.

Family Brunch

The perfect ending to the perfect weekend. Treat your overnight guests to breakfast the next day. Your wedding coordinator will arrange for a private room with dedicated waiters to serve your guests. This final touch will allow you to reminisce about the wedding and wish everyone farewell before you leave for your honeymoon.

Parking

Our Hotel offers complimentary self-parking for all of your day-of guests. Overnight self-parking is discounted to $25 per night. Valet service is available as well for an additional service fee.

Tasting

With so many delicious custom menu options, it is hard to make a decision on what to eat on your big day! We host a grand wedding showcase that features all selections from our wedding package. You will also meet many of our preferred vendors with displays of linen, tablewares, music, and sweets.
